Reach Out and Read Mini-Grant Program

The Foundation of the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP Foundation), is a 501 (c)(3) organization, which awards funds for the purchase of new books for existing (non-Maryland Expansion Sites) Reach Out and Read (ROR) Programs within the state of Maryland and practices who would like to have the Reach Out and Read Program but don’t qualify for the Maryland Expansion Grant. Mini-grants will allow the purchase (by the staff of the Foundation) of between $100 and $500 of new children’s books per practice per grant cycle for use only in the ROR program and within its guidelines.


Applications must adhere to the Mini-Grant Application Guidelines.

The MDAAP Foundation Grant Review Committee will review proposals. You will be contacted with a decision within one month. Letters of Application should be submitted no later than Monday, April 20, 2015 and should include:

Review Process: The grant review committee will review all proposals. Final approval is determined by the MDAAP Foundation Board of Directors. Applicants will be notified in writing or by email of the Board’s decision within one month of the deadline for submitting the Letter of Application.
